aussie

hey guys,

im looking into a lunchbox locker for the rear, my birthday is coming up! Wheres a good place to get an aussie? I found a place to get a lockright for 309.99. http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-128227-chrysler-8-25-8-375-lockright.html is this right for a chryco 8.25? Is either one better? I think theyre around the same price

thanks alot

Alot of people will say http://www.northridge4x4.com/ is the cheapest for an aussie, but aussie doesn't not make one for the rear.

The powertrax no-slip is supposed to have better road manners, but this is just read info. I have no experience with either.

If its for your 95, the Lockright is the correct part. The Powertrax is for the 29 spline 8.25. I dont think Aussie is an option for you at this time.

Do you have lockers?? Doesnt seem like it by what your specs are on your jeep soo i dont think you are in a place to being making stupid comments.

I run a lock right in my jeep in the rear and really dont notice it. I have to gas it pretty good before i can tell its doing anything. Snow seems to be the only time its actually noticeable. But once you are used to it shouldnt be a big deal.

But yea the lunch box lockers are all on the same idea all work pretty much the same find which one is going for a good price and have fun with the new traction.

as much as i hate to admit it, mindless you are rite. I have no experience i was just assuming that since the front would lock under power than the rear would do the same. Since it always has power (in a way) I would of though it would be locked 100% off the time. But that is incorrect. Ill excuse myself from this thread...

I would seriously not get an auto locker like that for the rear in area's where it snows. Also generally speaking the aussie/lockright style of lockers dont last along time in rear axle applications.

I properly welded rear is nothing more then a spool. There is no reason it can't last...A welded rear is at least predictable. I hated the constant locking and unlocking they(lunch box) did in snow and ice.

The lunch box lockers have a tendency to wear out, the teeth, the center cam's, the springs and pins...Thats just the way it goes, BTDT.

you can get the no-slip for either model, I assume the same with the aussie.

http://jeepinoutfitters.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=850 that looks like a good deal, I didn't know the aussie was that much cheaper. but if you can't get it for some reason, I posted another option.
