i say neither...OX. i prefer an ox because of its simplicity, and the cable. arb has an air line which 'could' get cut. auburn is electric. both 1 wire and it could fail pretty easily. not that its common..but hey. OX youve got a steel cable.

who am i to talk though. im a lunchbox guy

I run ECTED's and like them.

Anything can fail. ARB's can get a hole in the line, electrics can cut a wire, OX's can stretch a cable...

ARBs have been around for a long time. I could have gone with any lockers but chose ARB for their historical reliability (and if you search, you will find horror stories about every single type of locker out there).

I considered ECTED, but talked to too many guys that ran them and ditched them. There are two shops in town that won't install them due to them failing.

One guy theorized it as this:
New gears seat and that may put some fine metal particles oin teh fluid. The Magnet used in the ECTED attracts that metal and the works get gummed up.

I have no first hand knowledge of this happening to me. I usually head the warnings of guys who have ran them before me.

I heard of this when I was buying mine. To help reduce the amount of particles in the oil with the new gears, I changed the oil 3 times in the first 600 miles. I also didn't turn them on in that time period either. I also read that Aburn changed something on the lockers so this couldn't happen.
