Any hope for my 2.5 motor?
I own a REALLY nice Jeep Cherokee with the 2.5 motor. It's an 86 but it's obvious that this 4 cylinder is really lacking power over a 4.0. I know I could sell it and get something else but honestly I am just wondering if it's possible at all to get any sort of power out of these 4 cylinders? I don't intend on doing much serious off roading for it. Just taking it to the mountains to go skiing and what not but it does honestly need some more power...

You can do a lot of the typical mods to get some more power such as new intake, new throttle body, better exhaust, performance computer (a good one, not a cheap gimmicky one) and things of that sort. Some people might suggest swapping out a 4.0 but that's a ton of work and headache. Since you don't want to sell it, mod it. The thing is, you're never really going to get a lot of power out of that motor without a turbo/supercharger, and I haven't the faintest idea if they even make them for that motor.
