ALOHA.. Need help with Lift..

Aloha,

I GOT THE JEEP BUG!

I just purchased a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I am looking to lifting it then surprising my girl as a gift for the summer. (this way she can drive hers and leave my Comanche alone..haha) I need help..

Looking to lift the laredo. Have never lifted a Jeep Grand Cherokee before. Not afraid of hard work and jumping right in. If any of you guys have directions/tips on what type of suspension kits to buy, please advise. (Step-by-step guide, vids, anything)

The finished Laredo would have a 3-4in lift with 31M/T's.

Currently looking at this OME lift kit.. The 4.5 lift kit.. http://www.rocky-road.com/zjtrailblazer.html

What do you think?

I think you are in the wrong section for Grand Cherokee suggestions, but the front end is basically the same as an XJ. Coils will get you about 1" less lift for a ZJ vs XJ.

OME gets good reviews from everyone that installs them, so I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

Iron Rock Offroad is a Cherokee and Grand Cherokee enthusiastic shop too. I wouldn't suggest they are on par with OME though, but still better than an entry level kit.

Mahalo Rugsucka!

I went ahead and moved this question to the Grand Cherokee section.

Great pointers.
