Ahh what a day.. 2 broken Jeeps and 1 Ford

I had TWO jeeps break down on me today....

I was driving to my grandmothers house to get my grandpas broken car towed with my AAA membership. As im driving out my XJ cuts out around the corner... Fine i walk back home to get the WJ...I get in the WJ and it does not start!!! The battery is dead!!!! So now i have 3 broken American cars, two Jeeps and a Ford... Geez its been a great day....

I had AAA tow my WJ to Sears and i got charged $122 dollars for a battery!! HELL NO!!! But what could i do, i had to pay...

Some *** hole back yard mechanic took advantage of my grandfather and "fixed" his steering column... The car was not turning off when you take out the key... It took them 4 days, they didn't align the steering wheel right, the key was a PITA to turn! AND the column started smoking!!! When i spoke to the "Mechanic" he told me "Lo barato questa caro" which translates to Cheap stuff ends up being expensive... So i called AAA again and got his car towed to his mechanic...

When i get back to the XJ in my dads truck to give it a jump, the car starts right up!! I cranked the hell out of it a few hours earlier, and nothing!! One of my engine mounts ended up being broken...

But now here is my question, i didnt do ANYTHING to the car since it broke, i did notice my driver side engine mount was broken but what does that have to do with the car not starting?!?! It was not raining so nothing got wet... So my car just cuts out of no where... This is great...

Im buying a honda... lol

Forget the Honda. I had a day like that thanks to my girlfriends Accord.
I don't know about the starting issue, but why didn't you just get a battery from AAA? They're $80.00 and have a lifetime roadside assistance warranty. I mean, not to piss you off more, but just so you know for the next time.

Its a pretty big battery, i had them put their premium truck battery in with a 3 year warranty... Sears is starting to suck... they used to be really cool...

Ive been looking at AAA's services and half of them i didnt even know about! Discounts at NAPA autoparts, Discounts at Hertz rental car, Discounts ON A NEW CAR!!! (Just called a honda dealer in Naples and they told me they could shave a nice chunk off an 07 civic 5 speed ex with navigation), Discounts at the car wash!!

Im upgrading from regular to premium services... With that i get recovery from mud or offload terrain!! LOL, we need that!!! I also get 100 miles of FREE towing, way better than my 5 miles now... and their batteries carry a 75 month warranty which is way better than the 35 from sears...

oh GOD, dont get me started with sears........
I have to deal with those guys since they are a customer at my napa store, and they will alwayse charge you FULL list pricing, take forever, and they just dont have a clue as to how to fix cars.

They bought a battery from me a few days ago for a civic, then 2 hours later they called for new fusible links, hmmmmmmm wonder if they hooked the battery up backward.......

Boycott Sears.

Next time i am going to have my battery changed by AAA.... I only go to sears because my grandpa makes me... Hes funny and extremely patriotic, he wont let me buy a Honda civic because they are Japanese vehicles... He loves his V8 RWD Ford, and thats the ONLY car he will ever drive. He ALWAYS buys Michelin tires because they are the best tires on earth, he buys everything at Sears and the only battery he will ever use is a DieHard

ya i currently work for sears (sell TV's) and i honestly wonder why anybody buys anything from them. everything takes at least two days to order, bad customer service (aside from myne of course), and our prices are always higher then our competitors. in my opinion because of our terrible system sears will be out of buisness in 7 years.

you know why because they know the name so they think its good quality so they pay the extra whatever they pay (if they have the money) if they care about money they dont buy at sears
