adjustable front end components.

hopefully someone can point me in the right direction about all of this. ive been starting to look at some more front end mods becaue i want a little more lift. i know ill need an adjustable or longer trac-bar with anythign more thn 3", i really could use one already to senter the axle up. i also see alot of benefits to longer lower control arms. here what i need help knowing though, how much longer contol arms should i look for with 3-4" f lift to help put the axle back in the stock location and help with the caster angle? hw do you adjust these cmponents? if i put on an adjutable trac bar is it just guess and check?

well the track bar is a good start if you plan on going over 3 inches. if you pln on going much higher you will need longer or adjustable lower controll arms. most lift kits of this 4.5" and over come with these. as for the track bar make sure your wheels are alligned the best you can and your steering wheel is straight then put it on. ...oh and dont buy rough country. i dont want this thread to turn into a lift debate but it is worth the money to buty quality..... this comming from a guy who just installed a rough country 4.5" lift.

that makes alot of sence about teh trac-bar thats kind of what i was thinking. for the control arms im not planning on buying another kit i think im just goig t ad a 1.75" poly spacer and shacke to what i already have. i can notice howm uch teh axle has been set back in the wheel well with only 3" so i figure another 1 3/4 will require longer LCA.

well many lift kit dealers will sell you individual componenent if you need them...... going back on what i said earlier, if you just need some lower controll arms for cheap you probably could get them from rough country.... especially in TN. i have RC lower controll arms and they ar pretty beefy..... much more than stock. the number is 1-800-222-7023 if you end up calling ask for jason Beirk EXT.121 and say that you are a naxja member and you will get 10% off.... if you arent a member then go join its free and takes like three seconds.....plus then your not lying....i have their adjustable track bar too and its pretty solid.

1.75" longer than stock would be far too long for the LCAs. Rubicon Express uses the same length LCAs in both their 3.5" and 4.5" kits and they're not even 1/2" longer than stock I don't think (been a while since I've measured either of them).

If you actually wheel your Jeep, on trails that require suspension articulation, make sure that you get articulating control arms if you buy new ones. Don't get some junk arms with poly bushings on both ends and no swivel that IMHO should only be used for a pavement pounder (or a mud truck, show rig, etc). Rough Country has flex arms available if you want to go the RC route. Rubicon Express' SuperFlex arms are also a good choice. There's also good arms from JKS, TeraFlex, and others as well.
