Adding coolant to a closed system...

Hello guys,
I just got done putting a water pump in my son's 1989 Cherokee. My question is how to add antifreeze to a closed system. I've trying to add in the coolant bottle but that seems to take a very long time.
Also, I know how to burp the system so now need to type that info.

TIA
