+ I really love the profile of the XJ

You realize it's just a matter of time before its chopped, stretched, and in crawling mode. We're just trying to expedite the process .

You don't need stretch for 37s. Maybe comp cut.

It may end up that way ..

I'm really back and forth about taking out the side windows already ....

I should get a cage this summer .... that's the frist step .. and get some shock mounts front and rear .. pregame!

Hey thanks brother .. Like wise .. you have one of my favorite jeeps ever! Maybe your up to some cage building this summer !! I'm saving my pennys. I would be so happy if you did my cage, you do awesome awesome work!

I need to do that and 2x6 sliders, which I guess would be first.

If your up for it maybe we can do it in like 3 stages.

- sliders
- base cage
- then the small stuff

I need to find a place to buy steel.. I can just get when I need ... then Pay you to do the rest .. if that works for you.

To answer your question, yes I'm putting in an MJ tailgate. I'm chopping the roof off in the rear as well as basically completely redoing the rear end (no stretch right now) here soon.

Oh thats going to be awesome!! You have the perfect XJ for that.. I can't wait to see it.

You know I really wanted to dove tail the rear strait to the tail gate but the way my xj is with the jcr rear it would be major work that would just take a tone of time .. so maybe later down the road IDK .. but if your going to chop the rear .. it would be a perfect time to dove tail ..

Well cant wait to see your XJ !!

I scored my tailgate at a JY for 100$ (well my buddy did)

I don't want to dovetail it. I might stretch it at some point, but it'll be years. I really don't want my gas tank in the hatch area.

Well .. I worked on the liftgate this weekend ... ... Long story short it looks like ***** ...

I don't know what I going to end up doing but I have to figure something out. What I planed for the top of the lift gate is not turning out well, and it looks really bad with it off.

I think in the end I would like to put the rear portion of the roll cage fit into that space .. IDK
