98 Cherokee sport fender flare brackets

Hi,

I just took the fender flares of my98 Cherokee sport and painted them. I noticed in the process that the brackets holding the fender flares in place turned into almost two dimensional pieces of rusty metal (they hardly held the fender flares in place) so I took them out. Pretty much ALL the bolts broke in about two turns, and I just though to my self "what the heck, I ll get new ones!"

Well, I have been looking everywhere for a week and can not find the brackets anywhere.

Any suggestions to where I should get them?

Any help is much appreciated fellas, thanks!

I don't know how bad a shape your brackets are, but if not too bad you could reuse them. I reused mine after I broke every bolt off. All it cost me was some metal bits to drill out the bolt heads. I drilled out all the bolts then got some new nuts and bolts to attach them. I put the flares back on the brackets off of the vehicle and even used some adhesive at the tabs for extra hold. Let those sit overnight. Then to hold the bolts in the brackets while i put the bracket and flare on I just used hot glue. It worked well and even held while i tightened the nut. Once on they are very solid and I'm not worried about them at all.
Final product

oh i repainted all my trim and flares also.
Good luck whichever route you take!
