Not that many. Start tracing the wiring harness back and find the problem.

Well i think i found out the cause of the switch problem. There are two lights inside the switch and ever time my switch's go bad the rocker inside the switch is melted around the bulb, the bulb on the bottom with the rubber thing on it.So when i get a new switch i will remove the bottem bulb and see how long it last.It sad to say but i love working with electrical and i have checked the harness and anything from the switch too the fogs and nothing. So its the switch.I will post if the switch goes bad..Thanks for the help

My fog light switch went out when I put 100w bulbs in the housings instead of the OEM 60 watt bulbs. I thought jeep would have used a relay but I guess they have all the current go through the switch because the inside of it had melted.

97-01, it is very common for the fog lamp switch to burn out. Usually the contacts go bad. The design of the switch and the light circuit is not the greatest and the resistance in the circuit leads to excess heat that burn the switches. You best solution would be to rewire the circuit so that the factory fog lamp switch operates a relay that handles the 12v power for the fog lamps removing the stress from the switch itself.

I agree with this...after taking apart many many switches, the most common thing I see is usually corrosion on the contact surface.

FWIW, if any of you have switches you DON'T want, send them my way and I will replace the inards and get em going again
