Hey I am just wondering if doors off a 97+ 2 door cherokee will fit on a 93, I want to get rid of that small stationary window and just have one big window. Or I can just install the window and track from a 97+ into my 93 door
early 97s had the same hinges but past that youd have to weld on the newer hinges, or weld the old style hinges onto the new doors. not sure on the window track swap
The hinges are welded to the body. When you undo the 6 torx bolts, the hinges remain on the body. So the newer doors will bolt right up to the old hinges. Like I've said before, the hinges are a non-issue. I've done this swap to my 96 XJ and 92 MJ.
Just re-read the OP's post. The 97+ 2-door doors will only fit another 2-door. They are much bigger than a 4-door's front doors.
Ok so the doors should be the same now i wonder if its possible to take the window and track from the 97+ door and put it in my current door that way I don't have to get into painting my doors again
