H'n'T SYE?
(I went thru a nightmare doing mine......)
If you can.... split your case, remove your main shaft and do it on a lathe..... it's FAR easier in the long run.
(see my build thread...I documented the whole process)

just did my SYE and it was not very hard with the TC still in the jeep. all i did was put it in drive and let it idle so the output shaft spins and then use a cutoff wheel. It cut really clean as if i did it on a lathe (not really but close enough). drilling and tapping the center mounting hole was easy.

also installed some degree shims to correct the pinion angle on the rear diff.

Nice write up. I'll be keeping an eye on your progress and perhaps using some of your ideas. OK, I'll be stealing them OK, I said it. LOL. Keeps us posted.

i think its 3". one 90* and a 45* elbow. used RTV to seal it.

EDIT: actually those two elbows are different diameters. i just mixed and matched at home depot until i found a nice combo.

A while back i found a ZJ in the junkyard with racing seats. one of the seats was ripped up, the other one was in decent shape so I took it. It sat in my garage for a while, then I got this brilliant idea.

also, the sway bar link brackets I made were too weak, so I made better ones with thicker metal and a better welder.

Nice work. Best mod I've done so far was the 8.8 swap in mine.
