here's my write-up:

3" PVC coupler
hole saw that matched the outside diameter of the coupler.
drill away at the plastic.
paint the pvc
mount and secure it.

there's really nothing much to it...

Wow, you actually just drilled into the console?
I thought maybe the pipe was cut to fit on the console, but I could see that the beer sat lower..

Well I like the PVC idea

BTW, where does the 'Hybrid' come in? Are you gonna run electric motor to the front axle.?

4-wheeling is about going where others can't won't or don't think it's safe.

I called it Hybrid because it's my DD and trail rig. I also have the Hybrid decal on the front, figured it's a good way to tease Prius owners If one day i can afford to make it electric i will. I am working to get my Electrical Engineering major and I'm thinking about what my senior project might be.... I have a few really good ideas that would be perfect for vehicles, Ideas that haven't been physically made or put to the test.

Hey I was looking at motive gear sets too... how much and where did you get those from?
BTW... is that ring & pinion sets and rebuild kits?

5+" of lift, 33's, OTK, Armored, Lighted, Chipped, Winched & Locked up Front.

ya thats new seals and bearings and 4.10 gears. a local jeeper bought this set last week but a few days ago someone crashed into his jeep. it was a liability and the frame is tweaked so he's parting out his jeep.

50% off for brand new gears and rebuild kit. SCORE!! but sad because his XJ it totaled.

..and I like your tire rack.
so, why did you make it swing .. the other way from most others? where you park, left-handed?
just curious.

well in the beginning i was going to make the tire on the left side so i could see out the rear view mirror better. that idea went up **** creek but i had already made the hinge on the left side so i just stuck with it. I never really park in an area where i need to be careful for traffic so it doesn't bother me at all.

check out my swing out build thread (link in my sig) for more pics and details about the build
