96 Cherokee exhaust/ transmission mount troubles?

So I have a 96 xj 4.0 with about 161,000 miles on it. The exhaust broke in a few different places so I decided to replace the front pipe & back so I wouldn't have any problems... I would later eat those words.
The exhaust went on fine but was it was laying on the crossmember & rear axle. So I thought my broken leaf springs & a bad transmission mount was to blame. I had new leafs put in with an add a leaf & that solved the rear end problem.
The transmission mount on the other hand just caused more problems. Once the trans mount was replaced the exhaust is still on the cross member & it seems like the engine, transmission & tcase are all sagging to the passenger side & now the metal clutch fan is hitting the frame when I put it in reverse. I check the motor mounts & the seem to still be doing fine. maybe the trans mount is in wrong? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
