95 Jeep OD Stuck on 3rd Maybe?? Need Help!!

Hey guys I'm new to this forum I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L Inline6 4x4 Automatic Transmission so I got it from my boss for a few days worth of work online problem is when I put it on Drive it takes off very slowly (while gasing it) until you hit right about 25-35 mph then its fine but if I have to slow down then the same thing happens. I can drive it from the 1st-2nd gear (low) and it takes of just fine then to 3rd then to Drive, There is a small decrease in rpms when I change from 3rd to D when going above 35-40 mph so I'm not quite sure if OD is stuck on 3rd or maybe the gear is longer.

My boss said he did a tune up 3 months ago because he was planning to sell it but he also did a tranny fluid change and filter also and since then its started doing what I explained above. Before that it drove fine, Im not sure what could be the problem **** solenoids?? output or input speed sensor?? The tranny Computer??

Any input will be helpful thanks for looking!

Thank you for your time!!

Go here - http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/t...ks-tsbs-89273/ - and find the AW-4 Transmission Diagnostics and Service Manual. Follow the trouble shooting charts and testing procedures. Since the trans was recently worked, assume the problem is related to that.
