Weld it? Did it rip off on the body side? I hear that is not uncommon. Fastest fix is welding it back on. Or you can weld in a plate and convert it over to bolt on.

If it has broken completely off welding is about your only option.

Welding it back on is about the only option. Find somebody that can weld if you can't, or take it to a shop. Its a real bummer I am sure.

You will need to remove the front fender, grind the welds off the hinge and mounting surface, close the door and make sure it is aligned correctly, then carefully weld the hinge back in place. I welded mine all the way around. From the factory it is just welded partway across the top and bottom of the hinge, with some kind of sealer putty along the front side. Be sure to paint the area after welding to keep it from rusting.

You can do it without removing the fender, but it is much easier to get it done right if you remove it.

It's not really that difficult. I did my gf's in a little more than two hours. That includes taking off the door AND fender and realigning everything. I should've just left the door on but I was hoping I could get in there with the welder- I couldn't.
