93 Fix On No Spark

ONE AND ALL
I hope this might work for a few with the same problem I had.

93 GC no start because no spark to plugs. Did have spark to distributor, nothing further. Good gas pressure at engine.

Replaced computer, Crank Sensor, distributor and cap/rotor, replaced ground on battery end, cleaned ground on fender well. Still no start and no spark.

Traced ground to engine, took battery out, checked ground wire all the way to block, and then removed rusted cable off of block. Cleaned the bolt on engine, cleaned ground end put on some dye-electric grease, put everything back together.

Turn of the key and it ran like nothing ever went wrong.

I hate grounds.

Cheers, I hope this helps.

Ummm, doesn't make sense. If you have spark to the distributor, but nothing out that would be indicative of a dist cap, rotor or coil wire problem. At worst a bad coil causing a weak spark that can't clear the gap. Almost always a bad electrical ground would be a total no spark condition. Hopefully this doesn't come back to haunt you later, good luck.

93 Gc

YES I thought it weird as well. I used a spark tester and that is what was found, only spark from coil, nothing to plugs. GC still running well and appears for now ok. Hope this helps others. Was also told by another owner of a GC here he had exactly the same problem. His was a 93 as well. Fixed the ground on the block and all was good.
