92 XJ Sport - intermittent grinding noise + low oil pressure + oil drip near TC

I have a 92 XJ sport i just recently got on the road after replacing the fuel pump and water pump.

It was always eating oil and had a low oil pressure 10-20 psi on the gage.

I took a 500 mile trip to Austin, and at some point i started to hear a faint grinding noise from below the center console / shifter. Sometimes it's louder, sometimes it's barely noticeable.

The most noticeable is when i'm coasting at a low speed, < 5mph, and continues even when it's in neutral. Sometimes it will come up at higher speeds while accelerating.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before, as to where the noise might be. Could it be the same bearing / seal causing the oil drip near the TC? or might it be some damage to the inside of the TC?

Thanks for any input!

Check your u joints. Also check the fluid level in the transfer case.
