91 xj gauge problems

i recently bought a 91 xj and the speedo tach and gas gauge don't work . gas gauge is way past full and low fuel light is on . and the overhead console that i believe is suppose totell you mpg don't work i feel that its all caused by one thing can someone please help me.

Try checking a couple things first. Check the fuses then the contacts on the back of the gauge. Pretty easy to do

I've checked fuses stuck hand up there to check connections seemed good talked to a buddy the other day he said his dad had same problem and greesed the fuse box or something he gonna help me tomorrow ill post on how it goes to see if fixed .. i also checked and cleaned three grounds behind distributer i looked online and said to do that. and nothing still . if nothing any more suggestions
