That is one of the two filters, i will be taking it out ofter school tomorrow. The main filter is above the axel, i replaced it b/c it was plugged solid, but there is another on the pump, and it is prob clogged too.
I dropped the tank on my 92 and then realized i did not have to drop it to get the pump out, so that will make the job much easier since i don't have to drop the tank.

Theres another one in the tank huh? Sounds like my weekend project, my xj acts like it's not getting enough fuel on acceleration. Checked everything and am convinced it's the fuel pump. Was going to replace it but checking the filter in the tank sounds alot cheaper. Good info

IT RUNS AND DRIVES. It has slightly high idle, but i think the butterfly has gunk in it; i forgot to clean that when i did around it. It does go down after a bit.
But power steering pressure hose a a hole in in RIGHT NEXT TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD, so now it has very little fluid in it, and the jeep is smoking me out.
Got to bleed the brakes again, this time with help to get ALL old fluid out, i have little to no brakes. WIll adjust Emergency brake so i can use that in the yard.
THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't really know about that until my 92 died on the freeway, and would not start until i went to replace fuel pump. I replaced that 5$ sock and it drove. So i did that on this and it starts right up. I would replace that line too, both my XJ's line was cracking, but this one was WAYYYY worse. Glad to know you may be able to save money and time tracking down low fuel pressure.

Me too, just bought chromoly shafts to replace a broken one so I'm low on funds. Do you happen to know what size that line is? I'll grab a foot of it while im at the parts store
