86 Cherokee Rattling noise

I just replaced the timing chain and gears on my 2.5L engine. After finishing it I cranked it up, it fired right up, but is making one hell of a rattling noise. I have since tore it all the way back down, and verified the chain was still in place, it is, no marks on the cover either. I dropped the oil pan, nothing seems wrong there either. I also pulled the valve cover, nothing wrong either. I am at a loss now. Does anyone have any ideas? Where should I look now? It cranks up, it revs up fine, the rattle noise does not change much while you rev it.
