8" LIFT KITS WHATS GOOD?

How is everyone?I would like some input reguarding 8" la lift kits please.I want to run 37" tires and do not mind trimming my fenders so clearance is not a problem.Has anyone here seen or have Clayton's 3 link hard arms or anything of that nature?I do know that to get what I am looking for I will be using parts from several different manufacturers.I do not have a huge amount of $$, so I am trying for a farerly educated stab at it.Thank you all very much!

Here is a new kit that Dirk (www.dpgoffroad.com) is selling. It is the Full Traction Longarm kit. I don't remember if it is 6" or 8", but this thing is impressive. Give Dirk a call for more info. It has Heavy duty military wrap leaf packs, coordinating drop pitman arm and heavy duty dropped trackbar mount (with opposite frame rail arm brace), extremely high quality johnny joints (not those crappy ones that wear out on the SkyJacker kits), and the price is very competitive with Rubicon Express' new LA kit (which isn't even available yet). The only thing I would replace is the Discos, with JKS Discos. Here are a few pics from Dirk's site.

37s?

I'll assume you know your stock drivetrain isn't going to be happy about this?

I've got around 7" of lift right now ... my 33s rub when stuffed. They are on 15x8s with 4.75 BS and I have 3" bumpstop extensions, no flares and trimmed fenders .... so I'd think that you're either going to need more lift or if you ever plan on wheeling it you're going to be doing a heck of a lot of trimming.

Try PMing "pair8hd" ... I wanna say he was running 37s or so... "JeepZZ" was running 35s on an 8" kit and I believe "Jason aka jeepin.com" was also up on 35s with a 5.5" kit. These guys can probably clue you in on what it's going to take and what some of the better "big" kits are.... That or go over to NAXJA and look up "2mud-in" he had about 12" of lift and I believe 38s ....

Going that high is a big task that is going to require a ton of stuff .... but .... post pics when you are done

That kit from Dirks site looks VERY sweet. Tomken also makes an 8" lift kit now.

The funny thing is in the description on thier website it says 8" XJ Complete Lift Kit fits Dana 35 rear
Uh... If you need 8" lift, why would you have a Dana 35?

But along with BR, I was going to ask...

What axles are you going to run?
What are you going to do about the steering?
