8.25 prices

Well I'm shopping for a new 8.25 since mine bit the dust and I'm wondering what would be a fair price for one I found for sale. The guy has a 29 spline 8.25 with 4.56 gears and a Powertrax NO-Slip. Not sure how long or how many miles the gears and locker have so for now we'll just guess its in good condition with low miles. Whats a fair price? Thanks

Yeah I figured some where close to there. Only bad part about it is I need to regear the d30 too if I go this route but it has to be done someday if I wanna go bigger anyway. My other option is a open 3.55 geared 8.25 out of a wrecked 98 that I'm going to try to get for 50-100 bucks.

are you stock geared upfront? the 2nd one would probably be better then considering after lets say 400 for the 8.25 youd need to spend another few hundred to gear the front and even more if you cant gear it yourself.
