to the OP, can u explain a little more what you are trying to do!
fyi ford is using international...

back to topic i dont think you know how much that is going to cost..going dualy wouldnt be too bad but 6x6 your looking at a rockwell or another of the same type which arent cheap, then a whole new suspensionthat would stick out past the a** end. and i highly doubt the unibody will support all of that.

Ya it was in a movie but i dont remember which one.
it looks like they took the back half of a 2 door weded it on a 4 door that was cur behind the wheell wells.
Hmm i guess that would be doable too
the longer wheelbase would make it easier to turn.
my shorter wheel base version would be more like a snowmobile

Back to tech.

someone has to make lighter axles to do that with than rockwells.
what could we steel some axles from?

there was a f-350 or such only in mexico that had dual axles, dual dually axles at that.
wonder if the extra axle was powered or just a tag?

yes but your comparing a huge truck that can tow like 20k + vs a unibody that can tow max like what 5k?

Not to mention it was probally a long bed, so their is like 8 feet of space to fit another axel.
See, a truck has so much more room to play with.

That last statment doesnt make much sense.
Anyways i would rather have a big gasser in the mud since it would be sinificantly lighter and the throttle response would be alot quicker.

But if you were going to run 6 tires....

possiby, and with diesels and low rpms u dont get the spinning @ such and such but u can work that think forever. bud of mine had an old for truck with a 7 liter diesel, not even turboed. before scrapping it, he pinned it against a tree and floored the gas pedal with a brick...tires went, it kept running on the rims till all the gas(well diesel) was gone lol.

I think the hard part is finding a tranny. Then finding a transfer case to use. You might want to find a long bed manche.
