saw a Cherokee on eBay that had a 6.2 out of a hummer it fit surprisingly well

Umm what kind of motor is in the CAT skidsteers?
im sure you could fit one in the jeep if it fits in a skidsteer. might not be huge power but its a small package.
6x6 are just cool but the XJ has no place to put one unless its a 2 door and you move the rear axle back further but then you dont gain too much. but still cool non the less.

I think the average skid steer engine is a 4cyl diesel and they are pretty damn small but pack a punch.

Cat makes HEUI C7s and C9s for RVs though i think they are about the same size as a 5.9 cummins.

look into perkins... cat bought them out a while ago, and i believe have been putting their name on the perkins motors. Supposed to be a strong little engine, found in a older (small) dump trucks and delivery trucks.
