You can look through the XJ Wheeling Pic topic.

Not the LA kit, but both of RE's 5.5" kits flex the same amount (it's limited by the shocks and other things, not by being long-arm or not). The front actually droops a bit more than in those pics. Here's a better shot of the front at full droop, with much larger tires now.

Thats a serious amount of articulation given that you have B/W's fitted.

I'm looking to get the same amount once I've upgraded from my 4.5 RE lift to 5.5 RE. (I don't want to go the long arm route)

What shocks are you using there, how much bumpstop and have you trimmed back to the max, just allowing enough to fit the B/W's? What other tricks have you got going under that front?

The fenders are trimmed higher than the inner lip of the BWs. I'd already trimmed them before I got the flares. I basically cut off the flared section of the fender itself, then angled the front forward a bit more.

(I've trimmed a lot more since then though, and left the BWs off for good I think -- http://farm1.static.flickr.com/231/475029271_43f96ebbf7.jpg ).

Current front shocks are 10" travel Bilstein 5150s, with JKS shock adapters and BPEs. Bumpstops are 3" RE pucks on the axle with Daystar poly snubbers up top (~1.5" longer than stock). Only 'trick' I've done really is to bevel the top edge of the RE bumpstop pucks. With the sharp edge they have normally, my coils would catch on them and BOING, plus it broke one of my bumpstops because the stops hit the edge of the pucks and not the top, particularly on the driver-side. If you loose closely, you can see the bevel I cut into the top of the pucks.

The trackbar also bottoms out on the axle bracket, limiting my driver-side droop, but only by about 3/4" or so vs where the shocks would limit.

Long-arms have the potential for more droop, but in the regular configuration both RE 5.5" kits are limited by the shocks and trackbar. With some custom work, you could get a lot more travel using a long-arm setup, but IMHO droop past the point of unloading your coils doesn't really do you any good.
