4x4 LOUD

the other day i went hunting, and found a little ditch to drive through. anyways, after spinning the rear for a second, i engaged the 4hi. pretty much going straight, it made a few loud clunks--sounded like it came from the diff but not sure. the front axel is w.e comes stock, i think its a dana. any idea on what the clank was??

and btw, i made it out. and the 4wheel still works, just "clunks"

Sometimes if i don't use 4x4 in a long time, it will clunk when I engage it. I have no idea why, but I don't think it hurts anything. Just make sure your transfer case has enough fluid and you'll be fine.
