Well, I just went out to start my cherokee for the first time today (last time running was about 16-18 hours ago), and it wouldn't start, all i was getting was a check engine light on, seat belt, and brake light and it wouldn't start. Don't think it was my battery because everytime i turned the key the battery would charge up. 5 minutes later or so I tryed to start it, and it was really hesitant but it turned over, but the whole jeep was shaking more then normal. I just left it sitting for a little bit and hit the gas to about 2,000-2,500 RPMs, and everytime i let off it, it went down to 1500 for a sec then down to 1000. I let it sit for another minute, then I did the same thing with the gas (to around 2,000-2,500RPMs) and it went right down to 1,000 which I'm asuming is the normal RPMs when it idles. Engine has 83k on it, and I also live in New England, and it's about 25 degrees out today. anyone got a clue of what it is? if you do could you please let me know? or is this normal?
