Which 35" Tires.... need to buy this next week.

Basically I'm low on the tread and need new tires. I got about 42k miles off my Xterrains and am looking at 35's in those. Any other recommendations that aren't All Terrains or MTR's. I want an aggressive tire... so no wussy allterrains.

***(it was not my intention to say MTR's are a wussy tire... I just dont prefer them)*** just so yall know

they're 36's but i have the non military 31in version, they're very agressive, the only time i've been stuck with them i was high centered

My BFG M/Ts wear really well and are beefy. The only downfall is if you run alot of rocks the sidewalls aren't the strongest but I haven't had that problem my self.

I don't see how Goodyear Wrangler MTRs are wussy, but whatever. I've seen both Xterrains and I run GY MTRs. Different tread patterns, but I don't think one is more aggresive looking than the other. I do know that there is a huge number of people who run GY MTRs and love them. Good sidewall protection too.

Suit yourself. Whats the price difference?

Interco Trxus MT's. Got 35,000+ on mine and atleast another 15,000 to go. They finally released the 37" Trxus, which I am putting on with my new full widths.

For reference, MTRs aren't really wussy, they're just in my opinion either considered an All Terrain or a Rock Terrain :P

BFG muds. If its your daily driver, i would go with those. Ive got a few buddys that run those on their DD's and they are great on the road, mud, and didnt do to bad on the rocks. I plan on getting a set of some 35x12.50's as soon as i get my RE 5.5" lift.

I'm not saying MTR is a wussy tire... i just dont like them... probably cuz they are so popular. For every 10 sets of MTR's i see 1 set of X-terrains, or 1 set of Trxus etc....
I just like things that are less popular i guess.. just my quest to be a little different... but unfortunately I'm far from being different from MSHarnett

I like the procomp mud terrains and a friend of mine has a set with 35k on them and lots of tread left. They arent real loud riding either. Pro comp also has "extreme" all terrains in a lot of large sizes. Pro comp has really done their homework as far as tread compound goes. Just my opinion.

Another tire I have had good luck with is the "Dick Cepek" Fun Country. Not the FCII's but the regular FC's. These are available in radials or bias ply. The bias ply doesnt ride as well on pavement, but the sidewalls are a lot tougher than the radials. The last set I had was on a full size Doge Ram I had. They were 38.5x15x16.50 radials and I put 40k on them and still sold them to a friend for 150$. A little noisy, but all in all a good tire.

How about the Toyo Open Country M/Ts, not too many folks running those yet. Good looking tire. I want some, but that's a waze off.

We have a set of 31's at my shop (i work at a tire shop)... they are a good looking tire, but for the price of a 35 i can do much better than that tire i think.
