242 transfer case

Is the 242 transfer case less prone to vibration when you lift? I ask because I have seen comments at various sites (manufacturers) that add a statement such as "It is highly recommended that a SYE/CV be use with 231 cases". Does that mean 242 are less prone to the vibes??

Thanks!

No I don't think so. I think they just didn't mention the 242 since it is not that common. Most, if not all the Wranglers have the 231 transfer case so I think that is why they focus on the 231. The only problem I know of with the 242 and SYE's is that there are far fewer SYE kits available for them.
