Any of you fellow Cherokee people ever think about forgetting about the 31+" tires and lifts, and looking into Chrome 20" rims or anything along those lines?
From what I've read, it seems everyone here is an Off-Roader.
I'm not knocking the suspension lifts and big tires (I like some trucks jacked up), just something that came to mind.

I have to admit that I was tempted to put on a full size racing wing, neon lights under the front, gold wire Daytons, drop it to the weeds, and maybe some ground effects. But after the ambulance came and I was treated for head injuries, I suddenly lost intrest.
No slamming intended. I do remember reading somewhere about a company making (or talking about making) a offroad 17" tire.
That would kinda meet you halfway. Rim wise, I'm almost possitive that anything that will fit on a ford exploader (sorry Explorer) will work on the XJ.
A word to the wise, big rims + Cherokee = a whole lotta rough ride. The big tires most of us put on actually soften the ride a bit.
I love my 31's.

I don't really want to get into this, but...

That is simply because Jeeps are meant to be driven offroad. The Cherokee is first and foremost a 4x4. But it happens to also be a good SUV (ie: Street Utility Vehicle, grocery-getter, mall-cruiser, etc) That is why most of us are into offroading, besides the points that its fun, cool , and can make for great family outings in the outdoors like camping, fishing. Jeeps were not meant to be lowered or riced. Thats just the way it is. But it is your jeep, so what you want to do with it is up to you.

There have been 17" off-road tires out there for awhile. Although, to fit your cherokee, you'll probably have to get an 8" lift, and 35" tires before the rim sizes get big. I know they make them for 35's, not quite sure if they make them for 33"s, I doubt it.

Now that Jeep Balloo93 posted is nice. I love the factory rims on it, BTW are they from a Grand Cherokee?
I DID NOT in ANY way say that I didn't like lifted Jeeps, nor did I say that I thought putting 20's or + sized rims on a Jeep, was my cup of tea. I just simply asked if anyone here had 20's or something along those lines on their Cherokee.
My intended plans for my Cherokee are to add some beefier tires(maybe) but most definately I would like to find a more styleish factory style rim (maybe like the ones I just commented on from "the cardomain Jeep") I'm not going for the "Big Tymers" look with blingin' 20's and all that jazz. I don't want to lift it, but I just want it to look rugged and off road worthy at it's factory height.
My Grand Am is lowered, with 17's along with a hell of alot more done to it, but will never be caught on dirt. Hell I spend most of my driving time avoiding pot holes. lol On the other hand, about a month after I got the Jeep it was up the mountains. I'm not going to sacrafice muddin', and climbin' for another vehicle I have to watch out for pot holes with my low profile tires.
Now that I hope we got that cleared up, I think it's safe to assume NO ONE here has 20's and is blingin'! LOL

Just noticed that Nitto Terra Grabbers have 18" "offroad" tires. I know they make a great street tire, so I assume that thier offroad ones would be relatively friendly on the street.
See, I'm all about compromise!
