I went out to start the 2000 Cherokee this morning and it would not start. The easiest thing for me to check was fuel at the time. I turned the key to on and didn't hear the fuel pump, I then check the bleeder valve and no fuel. I drove it the night before with no problems at all. I checked the fuses under the passengers dash and all fuses were good. I then checked the relays and noticed the cover to the fuel pump relay was lifted up and slides right off so my guess is the relay but is there anything else I could check? also how do the relays come out it didn't seem like it wanted to just pull out and i didn't want to force it. Thanks i am hoping to get it back up and running soon.

Just wiggle and pull they come up. You may be able to swap the relay with something else for testing purposes.

Ok thanks thats what i was looking at trying to do one cause my local advanced auto parts said they aren't even able to get that relay in for me which is weird, which means that i will have to start calling around or order one. I also noticed that when the key is in the start position usually the gas gauge moves but now nothing happens if anyone has any other ideas. Thanks..

check for spark! a bad cps will knock out spark and fuel. here is a similiar story cps fixed it!
