2000 TJ D44...under XJ

hey i just found a smokin deal on a dana 44 out of a 2000 TJ and i was wondering if anyone had info on this axle....width.....leafs or coils and so on cause for 350 im findin it hard to pass up if it'll fit under my 89 XJ

theres no reason as to why it wouldnt fit, the only things you have to consider is the gear ratio, and you will have to cut off the tj bracketry and weld on leaf perches.

The yoke will use the 1310 u-joints, but as mentioned above, the TJ has coil suspension, so you will need to take the buckets and control arm mounts off and have spring perches for the leaf springs welded on. Width should be the same as well as bolt pattern.

1310 u-joints?.....could you give me a little more info on those..good..bad and as for gear ratio im movin up to 4.56s soon anyway im just lookin for a better axle than the 35 cause i really dont wanna dump money into that pile
