most likely under the cowl on your hood (the piece between the hood and windshield) on a zj im not sure how to remove it my tj has 7 screws phillips heads imagine that something thats not torx! should be on the passenger side above where the heater box in the dash if you have a funky smell through the vent changing it usually helps alot

Wow that would be cool to add, I know my 2000 does not have one and the dusty trails need to stay out!

Has anyone bought this or the plastic frame that holds the air filter in place?

The stock CAF is 5013595AB. I had to drop the initial 0 for the search I was using to find it.

Saw an enlarged pic of it on The Parts Bin site. Take off the wiper blades then that cowl piece and it fits on passenger side. I would imagine that if you were someone who suffered from extreme allergies to pollens etc and were inside at work or home most of the day then it is probably worth it. It is $14.95 at parts bin, $8.95 at the site in first post. Not too sure how much it blocks airflow, but for me more trouble than it is worth. I love windows down if it is all possible. Phil
