1999 XJ dash light problem

hey. I just bought a 1999 XJ. Didn't get to drive it untill tonight. Found out i have no dash lights. All the gauges work, just the lights don't come on for the insturments or the A/C controls. Dose any have any idea what this could be. Thank.

Did you check your fuse? As I recall, it's a 5A fuse for all the dash lights. I installed a lighted trans cooler gauge and that seemed to put me over the top. Started popping fuses left and right. Ended up putting a 7.5A fuse in a while back and that solved the problem.

If there's any aftermarket stuff wired in the dash, I'd start by checking the fuses.
