looks like its coming along. minus a few speed bumps. but hey, thats expected. cant wait for pics of the final product!

also for all the guys worrying about shipping on tires. try discounttiredirect.com they have free shipping on all their tires and they are pretty cheap! i've bought two sets from them and they were on more doorstep in two days. great customer service too!

UPDATES and GOOD NEWS! I got the driveshaft installed with the sye hack n tap. We had to take the DS to a local shop cause i didnt have time to keep messing with it. 20 bucks later it worked like a charm. Still hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new one though, we'll see how it works out. Also, the lift is officially done! Now we are working on a new brakeline. We are getting the stealership to get us a prebent hardline for 45 bucks. Also putting in new tierods and tierod ends, track bar, etc.

DS/HnT

Something wrong with these pictures?

Here is a pic as the XJ sits in the garage.

Hopefully well have new tires on the new wheels and mounted by saturday/ on saturday. Still gotta figure out how to mount those center caps.

I might have totally missed something, but that's quiet a rake you go goin' on there man. Love the progress, it looks like a really clean and complete install. Good luck with tying up the loose ends!

Very nice sir. I just finished mine a few minutes ago and after looking at yours I'm already getting the "inch itch". Good work.

I already have the itch... heck i had it a long time ago. Of course ill get what about 1.5" from new tires right? Ive got 28s i think and going to 31s so well se how that looks. I am soo stoked for the new tires. I want to see what this thing can do. Although i almost broke my wrists drilling the damn holes to hook the disconnects up too. Once we get the brake line on we are gonna bleed them, get the front end tied up, and send it in for a front end alignment and new meats. Lucky for me the guy does both that im getting the tires from.

Edit: once i get the wheels and tires ill wash it and take a pic right after the wash for an accurate 'after' pic. Needs a good wash and wax. The paint cant take much more i dont think.

By rake I meant that the rear looks higher than the front. It might just be the picture, but I just thought I'd mention it because I was curious...

Doesn't it suck to have to wait?

oh well yeah the rear is higher. Ill level it out with some heavy rear bumper for the rear, and then the front, and then ill be right back to where i started... lol. But the next project will probably be the aussie i have up sitting in my room, new rotors, and maybe some discs for the rear. But i want to be able to use the ebrake so IDK.

Edit: oh and yes it sucks very badly.... Oh well, i get to drive the commander around for a while!

EDIT2: and another thing i forgot to mention, im also in the process of spraying the exposed parts of the undercarriage with That 3M underbody coating. Looks good too.

Isn't one option to throw some sand bags or something in the trunk for a while to bring down the back a little bit?

Well, i might do something like that for winter to get a little better traction. But in the mean time ill have a full sized 31x10.5 back there for a little dead weight.

Oh and it feels good having to kinda "climb" rather than duck into my XJ.
