Post 1998 4.0 Hard to start hot

I've got a 98 Cherokee Sport with I6 4.0 68,000 and when the engine is hot and I shut it off for 15-30 min. when I come back to start it it's hard to start. Sometimes it'll catch at about 200 rpm and just sit there and try to run for a few seconds and die. Then the second time I crank it it fires right up and idles like nothing happened. The thing that baffles me is if I only let it sit for 5 min it starts fine. Is this a vapor locking problem, or flooding, or what? Any help would be much appriciated.

my 01 just started doing this today...run it for awhile on the highway, stop for a little while...starts and runs rough for about 10-15 seconds then clears up. Doesn't happen when just driiving and stopping in town though.
