1995 xj died

Started up my jeep to go home from work, went one block and it died. Just cranks but it won't start. Think it is a clogged fuel filter? It is original. Plugs and wires are new along with dist and rotor. Ran fine up till now. Will get it towed in the morning and try to figure something out.

Got the codes this morning. Code 11 and 12. 11 is the cps so I checked resistance. Open across two pins and a short across the other two. Using the center pin as a constant in both measurements. Installing a new cps now. We will see how it goes.

Changed out the crank positioning sensor and all is good. Started right up. I will give an update in a couple of days after driving it awhile and let you know how it is working out. Pretty easy to change out, 13 mm and a few extensions. 10mm for the bracket that holds it up on the intake. 70 dollar for the sensor. man.

$70 wouldn't have even got it through the door at most shops.

Got lucky. Friend had AAA so the tow was only 12 bucks.
