1992 Cherokee Laredo Frost Plug

Allright time to summarize,

Accident, jeep fixed, Drive home, Frost plug spewing all my fluid on the ground........well maybe not spewing but more like a waterfall. How to fix? is it hard? can a weekend do it yourselfer like me do it?

as far as i know i have 2 choices, 1 - Remove the head and get at it that way. or 2 - Drop the transmission and get at it from underneath. Keep in mind i've never done a tranny or removed a head.

all your suggestions will be appreciated.

You can buy these expanding rubber plugd that have a bolt goin through them and you tighten the bolt to expand and squish the rubber out inside the block. They work great in this kind of situation because all you have to do is set them in the hole ant turn the nut with a wrench. They do last a while too, I put one on my dad's ranger a few years ago, and its still on there. You can get them at advance auto for about 5-7 dollars.
