1991 4WD Cherokee Front rotor replacement?
My brake rotors are warped and not turnable. Mechanic informed me that, unlike the 2WD version, you have to replace the entire hub assembly on the 4WD. To make matters worse, the owner before me had the brakes done and they installed the front brake pads backwards. This caused the spring assembly to wear a groove into the piece that allows the pads to slide away from the rotor when the brake pedal is released. the annoying bit is that there is a perpetual squeak from the brake riding up to the rotor.
Do I need to replace the entire hub as I was told? Will the new hub assembly fix the squeaking (with new pads)?

No, the hub does not need to be replaced. A new rotor is all you need, but if you have a groove worn in your steering knuckle from the brake pads, you can have it welded and ground smooth to fix it.
