1990 4.0 timing question

Hey guys quick question about timing my brothers wrangler. I understand there's a solenoid that automatically will time the motor located on the distributer but what timing mark am I looking to have lined up on the crank? I have a light but its doing me no good if i cant find out the correct degree. Again any help or input is greatly appreciated.

sorry lol i just realized i posted this in the wrong section lol im used to posting in the cherokee section lol

Timing is done by the ECU, taking input from the Crank position and Cam position, as well as other sensors. There is no "solenoid" involved. The timing mark on the Harmonic balancer is slotted and you should be able to see it by peering down the front of the engine at the HB, have someone bump the motor until it's visible. Mark it with a little white out to see it better.

but why? There's no adjustment.
