150-200 miles per tank

Is 150-200 miles per tank in 2WD mode highway cruising @ 2k RPM normal out of a Renix '87 4.0L I6/automatic 4WD 4DR Cherokee w/factory 3.55 axles and 31" tires? If not, any suggestions? I've already replaced:
Distributor, ICM, coil, plug wires, plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, 1 fuel injector, and ran a can of SeaFoam in the gas tank a while ago.

My 300+HP V8 Firebird gets more miles to a tank on Premium...

oh wow, you dont drag race at every stop light do you? but all jokes aside check your hose to make sure they are all connected, i was get the same(about 180 a tank) until i realized one of my hoses going to my intake was disconnected, plug it back in and got 270ish on each tank. my plugs were leaned out. your o2 sensor might be bad as well.

That's gotta be it! No real vaccum leaks since idle is between 600 and 1000, warm. I am also going to be replacing a suspicious injector electrical connector too since the copper wire is a little exposed.

P.S. I have drag raced it. It ran an 11.2 consistent. In the 1/8th mile. 4WD launch, since 2WD just one-wheel-peeled the Procomp A/T's. 2.4 60'. I think I was the only one laughing.

Unless you have corrected your speedometer you are actually traveling farther than what it is showing with 31" tires. I get 14.5 mpg's with 32" tires and 3:55 gears.

You're right - my speedometer is 3-6MPH off depending on speed, thus the odometer would be off... That's comforting. I still have to refill at least twice a week (damn small gas tank).

i can get about 270-290 with 33's and stock gears. and thats accounting for the speedo difference.

I'm getting around 150-200 miles per tank as well (~12 MPG) in my '97 XJ 4WD I6 this winter. This does involve a good amount of city driving and short trips but I don't step into it all too often, so I feel like I should be getting more. Any suggestions? (I've replaced the spark plugs and wires, run fuel injector cleaner and new air filter). It does have 186k miles on it, so is there anything that anyone would recommend replacing to work towards better mileage (on a low budget)?

no it means youre getting more. more actual miles driven will equate to more MPG than when using odometer mileage
