130K on my 98XJ

Hey guys, I just got to 130K on my 98XJ, and it drives grate, engine is strong,
I drive a lot from Brooklyn NY to Philadelphia PA and back ( about 93 miles one way) on the week end and it has no problem, I do between 80-90mph all the why, and its all good, but now that my jeep got to 130K is there some things that I should do or look for????

If it hasn't been done recently the 50-60K mark is when transmission, transfer, and diff fluids are due for changing. Yours will be due for the second round of this service.

Congrats, you just broke in your 4.0 .

My '93 has 250,000+ and runs great. There are several people on the forums with over 300k.

Just keep up on your maintanence and you should get many more miles out of this motor. I had to replace starter, water pump etc. between 150,000 and 200,000 miles.

From what I've read the serpentine accessories tend to go between 150-200K, but the motor can last another 130K easy with proper care.

steering wheel is too loose

I just think my steering wheel is too loose,
(my steering stabilizer is good)

And when I drive at high speed I feel vibe from the steering wheel, ( I don't know if its death wobble )

That's about when the fuel pump went on my '98. Then the AC compressor last summer. Watch you radiator hoses if they're original.

LOL...you'ld know if it was death wobble ! Not really being a high-speed rig, a little vibe in an XJ is to be expected.
