Thanksgiving club weekend

The Rocky Mountain Big Wheels are having their annual Thanksgiving weekend with the plan for it to be in MacLean Creek group camp here in Alberta just SW of Calgary.

If there is interest in joining the club and the weekend of wheeling and food - let me know!

Right you are Vance , let me refresh your memory..............

Remember having to tow me first thing in the moring when my carbed YJ was hard to start ? , all fixed now , it's stroked and fuel injected.

This weekends Mclean Creek cleanup must have been a challenge , I can believe the amount of snow that fell last week !
I couldn't go , having to work every other Saturday , pics are up on 4Wheeler.ca , alotta snow!!!

Yup that be me , and a fun weekend that was , very little breakage by the group , some made it through unscathed , I think I got stuck twice , needing a tug.

The weekend is fast approaching!

Plan is to head out with most of our gear on Thursday and set it up in the campground - Friday the rest of the gear will come with us and setup the rest of the stuff.

Would you like to come along?

I'm up for a day or two of wheelin , spent Oct 1st at Mclean creek , fun , lotsa mud ! . Not sure about camping , man do I need an RV of some kind , sleeping on the cold ground isn't so much fun anymore.

I'll decide in the next few days , you guys will be in the Group camp ? or ? one of the loops for off roaders ?

The plan is to camp in one of the loops in the campground itself. So far, we have a couple of propane-powered deep-fryers coming along to do lots of group-cooking, Sunday dinner will be "Thanksgiving Potluck" - some bringing meats, some bringing vegies, some bringing deserts, etc. Couple of wheeling trips and pack up on Monday.

Check your PM box ... personal information on its way for you to call me for further details.

It was an awesome weekend!

I will be posting the video about it in the Registry Video section shortly, but a quick-recap.

I exploded a front spring-pack, destroyed a battery and killed an engine.

A friend blew his rear disc-brake setup.

Water in the air-boxes of the XJ's

Blown front hub, water pump, starter and radiator on a Ford with 44" tires .. and that was all in the first day

You can visit the Jeep Registery Video section and look for my message. It has links to all the videos that I put together from Thanksgiving weekend. You would be able to see some of the really good deep stuff. You could also visit video.google.ca and search on my username to see my list of vids!

New engine should be in this weekend, new springs are built, shackle-reversal is installed .... then I have a couple other vehicles to help on as mine is being helped - then we go snow-wheeling!!!!

No - nothing will be wrong with that Cherokee. Its been completely gutted except for the seats - there are even 4" square holes cut in the floor so he can see what he is driving over. Lets water in - and back out again.

BTW: Next week is the RockyMountain BigWheels club meeting - are you planning on coming?
