Sunday run with my Rubi ( pics and video )

i met up with a few guys from the local Calgary Jeep Association and they were kind enough to show me some of the local trails at Waiparous. it was a great day despite having a fever.

i was impressed. the only time i had any trouble was on a very steep hill in the bush where i started spinning on mud and ice and i twisted sideways, due more to lack of experience ( i didn't have the front locker engaged ). i drove for 6 hours in 4lo with the rear diff locked and the swaybar disco'd, locking the front diffs occasionally and i had no problems driving trail speeds in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears.

That is great to hear. I can't wait to get out on some trails and really put this new JK to the test.

could I possibly get info on that area? A few of us from Edmonton would like to head down in a few weeks and check it out.

Thanks

i haven't found any maps of the area yet, but i know they exist. from what i've learned, there are only three trails open. you could probably find the trail we ran because the trailhead is on the opposite side of the road at the North end of the gravel pit not long after you pass the camping check in area.
