Shop in Ottawa for re-gear?

The soccer mom 3.21s in my JK sport are driving me (and probably my clutch) absolutely nuts!

So I am wondering if there are any shops in the Ottawa area that are known to have done a couple of regears.

What can I expect to pay for a regear? Seems that there are some well-regarded shops in Toronto, but i'd like to avoid having to take a day off, drive all that way, and sit around on the curb waiting for the job to get done.

Anyone?

Hello, there is a place in Smith Falls but you probably already know about it? National 4 Wheel drive.

I was thinking about approaching them to see if they will match the ads I see on Kijiji offering a regear for $1250.

I do know about them, I'm just afraid to approach them because every time I have been quoted for a part, it has been cheaper to ship to my door. I can't imagine their regearing pricing being competitive either.

I would guess somewhere in the $1800-2600 range from them.

Do you know anyone in the EOTB group? I can make an enquiry if need be.

I guess it doesn't necessarily need to be an off road place that does it, if you can provide the parts yourself.

Unfortunately I know very few offroaders. Most of the car guys I know are tuners/ricers/autocrossers/etc...

I suppose parts could just be brought into any shop, but I'd rather have a tech that's done a few. Otherwise i'd be as nervous as doing it myself.

Okay, I'll send an email to a friend of mine and get back to you.

Okay so my buddy recommended National 4WD in Smith Falls. I hear that they have a lot of experience with this sort of thing.
Personally I haven't had them do anthing big like that for me.

Given their location I don't think they even have a curb to sit on.

Sorry

Well, I might as well give them a call instead of making assumptions as I have been doing haha, if it's $1500 or less, I think it's reasonable

Just called them - if parts are provided, it's about $850 in labor - not too bad!

Ordered some 4.10s, D30 carrier, procal from 4ws.com, and a D44 Eaton e-locker from Drivetrain America.

Kinda sucks that after spending all this much, jeep will still look bone stock lol

How did things turn out?
