I'm thinking about making small loop around from Sooke to West Leech Falls, then to Weeks Lake, Shawnigan lake and back to Hwy 1 (if it's possible to make this 60km trip in one day). I haven't decided on which day (Saturday or Sunday) yet - it depends how the weather develops. For now it looks like Saturday is a better choice.

Actually if it's not a problem let's stick to the Sunday - this way I'll be able to attend monthly meeting at Harrison Lake on Saturday.

Was thinking about heading back to the same area. Maybe the back road up to jarvis where there was too much snow last time. Or we could head up to Duncan/ Mt Prevot area. Some good trails up there with some variety. Little more open. Less flinstone (sp) carwash. Duncan might be a better bet.

Kornik, What do you think. What kind of wheeling can the zj handle.

The question isn't what Zj can handle, the question is what my wife can :-). I have 3" lift on stock (well opt. 236/75/15) wheels and that's pretty much it.

Anyway let's agree that everything takes place on Sunday - in case somebody wants to join.

Second - I'll take the 9.00am ferry from tssssaawsawsawaan something and will be at Swartz Bay shortly before 11.00am

Now we can meet wherever you suggest (you are the local) and we can go wherever you suggest (or we mutually agree) as long as I will be able to get back to Victoria around 6.30pm to eat dinner in Polish Restaurant and catch last ferry back to Vancouver. Thats my plan.

Its a good hour from victoria to either Shawnigan or Duncan, And swartz bay is in sidney which is 30 min from victoria. I think Duncan would be best from the pics I see of your rig. If you could catch the 7:00 you would be able to met me and bc jeep in langford by 9:30 or so. Would make for a good start and lots of wheeling by 5:00 when we would need to leave to get you back for your Polish dinner.

To catch this one I have to get up at 5am, 5.30 at most (50 minutes drive to ferry terminal plus the line).

Which is fine with me, but the day I tell my wife "honey you have to get up at 5am tomorrow to go wheeling with me" will be the last day of my marriage. At least this is what she told me last time when I tried. Anyway, I can't promise but I'll definitely ask her and post my reply here tonight :-) I'll try to buy her with good dinner today.

If we decide on Duncan I can switch and take a ferry from Horseshoe bay which leaves at 8.30 (and is much closer to Vancouver itself) and it arrives at 10.05 in Nanaimo so we could start at 11.00 if I won't be able to convince my wife to earlier one. So where should we meet in Duncan?

That Sounds good. Duncan for sure then.We can meet at the first Tim Hortons on hwy 1 , passed the cowichan hwy 18, across from the forest Museum at 11:00 or so. This way you don't even need to convince the wifey.
