Complete and Utterly new to wheeling... Alberta

Good morning there folks...

My fiance and I just picked up our 2008 Liberty 8 months ago. We hadn't originally purchased AS an off-road vehicle, we were looking at the compact SUV market - and it was our favorite we testdrove.

Coming on here, and lostkjs - i've seen alot of pictures and they're really starting to get me excited about off-roading/wheeling. I'm wondering what my next steps are?

Don't think I want to do anything too extreme/wild with our liberty, as it IS brand new... maybe I don't have the heart of a wheeler yet - but tearing the bumper off on a rock would hurt (and probably end any chance of more wheeling with the fiance).

Does anybody know of any "mild" trails Around Banff/Calgary area? I don't really want anything crazy - as I said I don't want to f**k up the Liberty. But maybe with that little taste in our mouths, we'll look at an older TJ purchase....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
