Coffee or beer?

I am thinking of having one night a month to get together with other JF members for coffee or beer (depending on the night and the mood).

Because I am in Calgary, I would like to start it in the Calgary-region. If things really are well recieved, I might throw a meet in RedDeer, Edmonton or other zones around Alberta.

What I am looking for is interest first and if enough people respond, what day would be best for the first meet?

Since drinking and Jeeping don't mix, I'd opt for coffee... I know, I'm not in Calgary and my opinion doesn't matter.

Don't need to bring the Jeep - just yourself!

I was thinking we could meet at a Denny's for coffee or a pub for a beer. Anyone else interested?

Hmm .. that could be possible. Isn't there a hot-spring close to Salmon Arm? If so - I would be up for a hot-spring and beer!

What kinds of Jeep parts are you needing? Used, new, upgrade, or modify? Depending on what you are needing, ModernMotors, National4wd can get you new stuff. JeepStuff provides me with my used and modify parts. If I can't get what I need from those places, then it is a visit to the wreckers!

I heard rumors of a "jeep graveyard" in Alberta. Is this true ? I have a 92 XJ with a RE 4.5" lift with 33" Trxus MT's. I would like to upgrade my dana 30 & 35 sometime

That graveyard is JeepStuff - just east of Calgary city-limits. They buy whole Jeeps and 4x4 trucks and part them out for you. You can also buy some of their "better" whole-running Jeeps for a very reasonable price.

Phone: 681-JEEP

Tell Ken or Lisa that you know me from JeepForum.com.

I just put a couple of video's from this weekend's MonsterJam into the Jeep Registery - Video section - you can see Ken's Jeep racing and doing very well around the Saddledome.

Ok - lets get this going.

Everyone who is interested, please hit the "Subscribe to this thread" under ThreadTools at the top.

Lets make the first BeerNight something central in Calgary.

On the corner of 16th Ave and Edmonton Trail, 1/2block from the Co-op there is a little pub called Juliette's Castle. Would Thursday, May 3 from 6 - 9pm be good? They have great food, awesome deserts - but - you would have to leave the kidlettes behind.

Send me a PM that you wanna come so that I can get a table reserved for everyone that wants to meet up.

It was a fun night!

The wings were hot, the beer was cold and the conversation was great!

For those who missed it, hope to see you for the next one!
