CB radio channels

Just put a CB in the jeep. Are there any common CB Channels used for jeeps. Thinking back in the 70s when CB was very popular. The 4x4s used 4x4 = Channel 16. I know the truckers around the maritimes use ch1 Any channel info would be appreciated.
Thanks

From my understanding it is channel 4 or 16 for 4x4's, channel 9 for emergency's and channel 19 for information.

Channel 19 is the most commonly used channel on the highways, and the one where you'll pick up the most talk between truckers and other vehicles.
